chinatown bakeries

When most people think of Chinese food they think of the oversaturated orange chicken and fried rice on the slickly greased Styrofoam trays. When I think of Chinese food I think of heaven-laced bread, softly steamed taro buns decorated in bunny attire, slabs of strawberry sponge cake encased in a milky whipped topping.

We purchased a pricey mango cake for my dad’s birthday from Bini’s Bakery. While the exterior was visually appealing and adorable, the cake itself was brittle and overdue.

It must have been rotting in that shop for weeks but for $26, at least try a bit harder please.
